Well, it's official...and I NEVER thought it would be a reality, but I am officially a HONEY BEE!!!!

Yep..I STILL can't believe it! Since I have been scrapping...almost three years now in December, I have wanted to be a Honey Bee at Scrap Orchard.  I filled out my little application on the LAST day it was due  because I was trying to tell myself to do it even though I KNEW I had no chance, and, when I got home on Friday night, this announcement was awaiting me! What an honor it is to be chosen out of hundreds of applications, and I can honestly say I don't feel worthy, but I will represent this store that I LOVE, to the best of my ability and hope they don't find out they made a mistake! If you haven't stopped by the store, go by today and visit the market, stop by the forums and visit the gallery...you WILL NOT regret it! They are a marvelous group of women and a finely oiled machine of a business! I am so proud to call Scrap Orchard my home base!

New Kit Release From Jenn CK...DELICIOUS!!!

I know I say this every time..But this is one of my Favorite new kits! I am not normally an apple layout kinda girl, as we don't have many apple orchards here for me to scrap about, but my oh my...the colors of this kit are FAntastic!!!

Now I LOVE how this turned out! First, that red is my new favorite color, and second, this was the first time that I really compared my picture at two, with Courtney's picture when she was two!  I love that I could document how very much she looked like me at that age! Genetics is some amazing stuff! And Don't you just love how my mom put my hair up and I had Courtney's hair up? Is that like a 2 year old thing? or...could it be....no...maybe...am I??? Am I turning into my mom?? Shhhhhh...don't tell her...I don't want to mess up her perfectly fine day!

This sweet pic is of my little Leah when she was 8...I think it was the last time she was in a dress as well, so it is nice to have it documented! :) But I love this kit because it gives it that vintage feel that I think the picture requires, but still gives it a youthful feel as well!

Happy Hump Day!

Hey everybody! Hope your are having a great Wednesday! Me? well, I am alive and kicking and can't complain! Today marks the first of many "senior" moments for my daughter. sniff, sniff...We are heading to the school tonight to watch the senior slide show. Each of the approximately 50 seniors brought there baby pictures and a few other photos, and they have all been put together to make a slide show for their Homecoming non-bonfire. I feel a teary eyed moment or two coming this evening..note to oneself..bring a tissue and sit away from others as my family tends to make fun of me when I cry in public....

Anyway, on a lighter note, Filledesiles Designs has done it again! She has made a great new kit called Treasure Island...and I even got to aid in the naming of it! I LOVE the fantastic papers! They are THE prettiest, and the elements are outstanding as well...this kit can be used for anything!

I am feeling great today! The weekend is here, I am feeling better (I was pretty sick this week) and I have scrapped A LOT! Back to school is a busy time for designers too, I guess. We are heading into the fall season, which is my favorite time to scrap because I LOVE the fall colors! Plus, we have all those holidays! It is really a scrapper's dream time! LOL!

Anyway, JennCK has been EXTREMELY busy! That girl keeps me on her toes with all her fantastic work! Every time I think she has done her best, out pops another kit! Here are a few of the kits she just released this weekend at Scrapbook-Bytes.

Isn't it too cute with its fab colors and those adorable monsters? This kit is so versatile though because it is also about rockin out. Here are my two pages with it.

I have been wanting to scrap these pictures for a long time. Courtney LOVES the Wii Rock band. She is so competitive that she will not let up until she has accomplished a certain level.  She isn't content to just sail by she wants to achieve a score in the 90's! Now some would think how driven she is, and you are right, she is, but it is soooo frustrating having an 8 year old that thinks she should be able to do what her 15 and 17 year old sisters do! I just LOVE that look on her face..She is so intense!

This layout is about Courtney and the horrible nightmares that seem to plague her. Ever since she could dream, she has had nightmares about somebody taking her from us. This was my documentation of those scary nights, and my affirmation to her that all is well. Nothing will happen and no one will take her. I thought it was a great kit for those scary monster moments!

Along with Monster Jam this week, Jenn released, what has to be, my favorite kit and template set of hers called Indian Summer!

Another New release from Jenn Ck!

Just in time to celebrate Grandparents day this September, JennCK has released 3 great grabbags to help celebrate her very first year of designing as well! These are fantastic grab bags!

This is just one of the 4 sets of  templates that you will get with her template grab bag this month. I used this set in both layouts I did this week.
