December 31 New Releases!

Well, it is hard to believe, but 2010 is coming to a close and we are gearing up for 2011! This coming year will mean I have yet another child graduating high school, and we are getting ready for a VERY busy spring full of graduation events, and SOFTBALL!! It is hard to believe that my large brood is starting to get smaller and smaller. Of course, give it a couple of years and I will start having grandchildren to scrap! :) That sounds promising!!!  No rush though...college first!

To end the 2010 year, I have a LOT of new releases and promises of great things to come in the scrapping world! First off, I am starting my guest position with Connie Prince and what an exciting start it is! I have loved Connie's designs since I started scrapping THREE years ago this very weekend! She was one of the very first designers I used to scrap some of my very first layouts! So here I am, celebrating my first three years of TREMENDOUS change, and I get to guest with Connie!
Connie has a great new Grab bag out today and it is AMAZING!! I love the colors, the cute penguins and this grab bag is FULL of scrapping goodness!

and the Alphas

I JUST LOVE those Alphas!!
I am going to try and do a project 52 this year. I started P365 last year a quickly realized, that a picture a day is not in my schedule..much less scrapping it! I really want to DO the project, because I see all the great books that the very talented ladies produce, but I am thinking that P52 is more to my liking! I can handle a photo a week...I think :) So, come tomorrow..it is my GOAL this year to FINISH this project and I am going to use Isabel's fantastic kits to help me get started!

Here are some of the other ladies LO's for inspiration!
this one is by my new digi friend Miss Cynthia:
I LOVE how she scraps..it just looks effortless! I wonder if she minds if I steal this page from her??

and this one by another friend, VickyD
she is an amazing scrapper as well! I am just going to copy all of their pages..LOL!

and last but not least, in honor of my digiscrapping birthday, I am going to show you my very first LO.

New releases for December 17!

Hey friends! It's Friday..well it WAS Friday when I started this, but I am here to show you the great new releases at ScrapMatters this week! It has been a CRAZY week. Christmas is inching closer and I haven't even wrapped one present this year. It seems like if things can go wrong, it will happen THIS month! LOL!

Rachael had her ACL surgery last Friday and she is doing great..slow, but great! Andrew, however, called last week from Navy boot camp to say that he is being discharged due to the diagnosis of Psoriasis. It has been an emotional low for us this week as he had decided that he wanted to make a career of the Navy. He just loves it. So, after discussing it, and reading all about it, and finding out that our chances are very slim for an appeal to be granted, we decided that if you love something, you got to fight for it! So Andrew is waging his war on the inside, and we are waging Andrew's war on the outside! This week has been a flutter of e-mails and phone calls to the senator and congressman...and even the President got e-mails from us!! The good news is that God has opened some doors..now if the people on the other end would JUST LISTEN!

Anyway, I hate to bore you when I know that you came to see the great new releases, so lets get to it!

First up this week, is a new release by Graham Like the Cracker. I fell in love with this kit..it is absolutely stunning! "ForHim" is for all those men and boys in your life. It is filled with plenty of "brownery" and greenery, as well as lots of manly flowers, this kit, filled with rich masculine colors, will scrap photos of all the men of your life. Plus it's versatile enough to scrap your every day photos and heritage photos!

LOVE the textures of these papers!

and, for those of you who want it ALL...

and here is my layout using this outstanding kit! I think this has to be one of my very favorites!

Also, its not a new release this week, but I joined in the Grand Theft Layout Challenge this month, and boy did I have fun! We had to choose a layout from Miss Cinna's wonderful gallery, and scraplift it!
I chose THIS layout to scraplift:

That's my nephew Ryan, who is just 5 month's younger than Courtney! He is 100% all boy to Courtney's 100% all girl! But they are the best of friends!

Next up this week, is another new release from the fabulous Amy Stoffel who, up until earlier this week I was guesting for, but, she invited me to stay permanently and, of course, I said yes!!

Amy's new release is GORGEOUS and really, the polar opposite of Jen Grahams which is what I love about scrapping! I NEVER get bored!

Captivated is Amy's newest release. To be captivated means to be in love with, enchanted by and fascinated with someone or something. I am truly captivated by the beauty and innocence of my children, the love of my family, the dream of tomorrow and the memories of yesterday. This fresh color scheme and collection of beautiful elements combined with shabby papers will be perfect for scrapping the things that captivate you.
Don't you just LOVE the colors??

And here is my layout using Captivated:

Allison and Courtney at the Zoo!
I just love how this one turned out!

Well, that is it for the night, I have plans for two more layouts on Saturday and another on Sunday so stay tuned for the rest of this weeks new releases! Make sure you head over to ScrapMatters and get the new releases while they are on sale! Merry Christmas!

New Releases for December 10!

Hello scrappers! Hope this week is finding you well! We are in full Christmas swing in our area, and I have been so busy with life, that I haven't even done a bit of shopping! My oldest daughter had surgery to repair her torn ACL yesterday, so I am a little late in bringing you my Friday release, but I couldn't pass up the opportunity to show you this weeks fabulous new goodies!

I am guesting for the fabulous Amy Stoffel this month, and let me tell you, she has gone over and above on her two new kits this week!

First off this week is Amy's GORGEOUS new kit called Vintage Noel! Vintage Noel is one of those Christmas kits that simply make you all warm and fuzzy inside. It is filled with the perfect combination of distressed papers/elements & splashes of glitter here and there. I adore the color pallet of this kit, and she has included some of the prettiest vintage stamps that I just fell in love with!

and here is my layout with this fantastic kit!

Were you naughty or nice this past year? What is on your ‘Dear Santa’ list? Whatever you wish for you’ll want to add the kit, Dear Santa, to it. It is such a great mix of the traditional with its’ deep reds and pops of green. But, it is the icy blues that make this kit pop! You will find it so easy to scrap your Christmas memories whether its your Santa letter, or new Christmas Pj's, this kit is one you will want to add to your collection!

Isn't that teddy bear the cutest???

Now, because I am running behind on my CT obligations, I don't have my layout done yet, but that won't stop me from showing you some of the other CT's fabulous work! Check out these adorable layouts!

Fabulous..right??

Head over to ScrapMatters right now and pick up these kits while they are on sale!

Filledesiles Designs has also released a new kit this week and it is something so different that I fell in LOVE with it right away! The color scheme is breathtaking!
