BOTCT-The Final Challenge

This year I'm taking part in the Battle Of The Creative Teams over at DigiScrapAddicts! I am representing Miss Tracie Stroud with 4 other fantastic team members! I am so excited to be able to represent Tracie and show the digi world her fantastic products!

It is the FINAL week and we have all entered our last layout to be judged! On Monday, they gave us our new challenge:

It's a TEN!

You must use 10, and ONLY 10 different products by your designer. When I say 'products' that would be an element pack/paper pack/full kit/alpha, whichever you choose. You can use any amount of items on your layout that you choose, but you can only use the 10 products that you have listed AND linked. You may not use any more than the 10 products you choose. At least two of the ten products must be used by all the members of the team. You all need to pick the same two products that will be the common factor between the 5 members of the team. Please list what products you will be using as a common product. You can definitely use anything you'd like as your common factor as long as it's listed.

In addition to this challenge, you must have a top 10 list of ANY type on your page. As long as there is a list of 10 on your page somewhere, you have met this requirement. Your top ten list can be any topic you choose, but you must have the list in numerical format on your page (this means you must have the numbers 1-10 as well as the list). The journaling may be in any language.

Last but not least, you may NOT USE ANY PHOTOS OR FRAMES. This must be a photoless AND frameless layout.

For the past TWO weeks, you have helped us to be voted as one of the top 3 teams....
So, for the very LAST time, I am once again pleading for your vote so that we may WIN the competition!

PLEASE HELP MY TEAM BY VOTING!!!!!!
Click here to vote for us! Click on Tracie Stroud's name...she is 8 names up from the bottom this week..and then push the vote key! It is THAT SIMPLE!!!

So, would you like to see what your voting for???
Here is MY layout for the competition..week four!

This week, I read a beautiful article by a fellow scrapper that talked about the things we take with us as we grow up..you know, life lessons, so to speak. You are the person you are right now because of things that happened to you in your life growing up. I really took that to heart as I looked over my life. I realized that watching my mother deal with cancer and the follow up treatment, really helped to form me into the person I am now. Watching her go through the pain of surgery and physical therapy and then the horrible Chemo and radiation treatments, taught me so many things that I have used in my life. So this layout was a tribute to my Mom's strength, perseverance, resiliency, love and courage. I witnessed ALL of those things at the tender age of thirteen and I now carry them with me..as part of who I am. My mom taught me to be a survivor and I know no other way to live but by her example..
So to this I say...Thanks mom....thanks for showing me that when life throws you a curve...you look it straight in the eye and fight back..you never give up..you never back down..and you do it with grace and dignity and laughter and love and prayer!

Have a great week ahead and THANK YOU AGAIN for all your votes and support! It has not gone unnoticed and is VERY MUCH appreciated!

Halloween 2010: A Visit from Taylor Swift

Thought you might enjoy a quick look at my little one this year on Halloween night! She really, really wanted to be a cheerleader, but alas, there were no costumes by the time her very busy mother got to the store. So, she settled for a country diva costume..which quickly morphed into Taylor Swift! This girl totally became Taylor Swift and when I later found a cheerleader costume and offered to get it for her, she turned it down!

Here she is..guitar courtesy of her big brother!

Hope you all had a very happy Halloween!
