Thought I would show a few layouts I have been working on lately. Tomorrow I will have another new release for Filledesiles Designs, but in the mean time, I have been working hard on all my travel pictures from years past! I am hoping to get those all finished by the end of the month, just in time to have some news pictures since we will be traveling to Tennessee for a vacation!

I also have MORE great news on the scrapping front. I was invited to be guest CT for the wonderful Amy Stoffel at Scrap Orchard for the month of December, so I am thrilled! There are really a bunch of great women that design there and I have come to enjoy visiting everyday, being a part of the challenges and just chatting with women that have the same interests as I do! It is amazing to have conversations with women from all over the world and realize that we pretty much all have the same complaints! LOL! Husbands, children and jobs!

So here are my recent layouts, and I will be back tomorrow with a new release!

This is my dream vacation...If I am still able to walk when all these kids are gone...Italy here I come!

This was from our White Water rafting trip in Tennessee--which is why we are going back 5 years later! This was the kids favorite vacation and all they have wanted to do since we left is to go rafting again! This year, we are making them work for it! LOL! We scheduled a 2 hour hike before the rafting trip into the Smokey Mountains! I will post pictures!

This was one of our very first things to do as a family! We went to the drive thru safari on the outskirts of San Antonio! It was really cool!

This is from one of our many camping vacations with Nana, Papa and the cousins! These are probably our most favorite times because the weather is gorgeous, we get to hike and camp, and we are all there together as one big family on one big lot! Great times!

This is at the 1/2 way point on our hike down into the Grand Canyon! It was a fantastic hike--a little warm--but all in all, no complaints! The kids were great and Courtney put her headphones on, sand and hiked! Of course, it was on the way back up that I almost lost my life--talk about flashing before your eyes! When hiking along rugged terrain, and your 5 year old is running ahead of you and you think you need to catch her lest she dive head first over the side, remember to watch for rock and branches in the trails--cause its a LONG way down when you trip.....

Til next time....

My Layout using Box to Happiness

This is my beautiful Leah on her 15th b-day last year. Let's just say that if we compared my family to the Spice Girls--Leah would be Sporty Spice! LOL! So getting her dressed up--makeup and all--was quite a feat. Up until recently, if you asked her to wear a dress, or if you asked her to wear her hair down, she cried. So on this particular day, I went with the flow and decided to let her be herself--just modified! And she complied! I was pleasantly surprised when I got home and discovered these beautiful pictures. Now, a year later, I found the PERFECT kit to scrap them with!

Wednesday, June 10, 2010

Well, as promised, I am back today to reveal still more exciting news!

A couple of weeks ago, I got a lovely e-mail from one of the nicest ladies I have never met! LOL! She had noticed my gallery at digishoptalk and had so graciously invited me to join her creative team. Well, you can only imagine how excited I was! So I sent her an email to find out what the job required and was pleasantly surprised to find out that she speaks French. Now, for those of you that know me pre-children--you know- pre-sag--you know that during high school, while other more intelligent people were taking Spanish because they knew that in Texas  it would probably come in pretty darn handy, know that I took French instead because I thought it sounded prettier and the teacher was REALLY cool!  My mother told me I would never use it and for 20 years--almost to the day of my high school graduation--she was right. Although my kids got a kick out of the fact that I could sing Happy Birthday to them in a different language!

The knowledge has been there, lying dormant in my once full brain,  that has long since been sucked dry of any knowledge I might have had by those little saplings I call children. But deep, deep  inside the recesses of my mind, French comprehension was still there. Thank goodness the little urchins left me that! Because today, I can say that I am now able to put that high school education to use and I can ALMOST comprehend everything that she says to me! The rest, well thank goodness for Bable translator! LOL! So armed with my very little vocabulary, her fantastic creations, and my love to scrap and create, I finished my first layout for my very first design team. YEAH!

So without further ado, I would like to introduce Filledesiles Designs new kit "Life Happens"  This was a gorgeous kit to work with and made my first "creative team" experience an easy, painless one! :)

Check out these previews and then visit her Digiscrap'mania Store:

And lastly, here are the layouts from the creative team:

If you go right now to the store, you can get it at a discount too! What a deal!

And just in case you were wondering which one was mine...

I captured this sweet picture back in 2003 while they were sitting in a bluebonnet field. Leah has such a calm presence with Courtney and she sat quietly in her lap looking at a flower. If you knew the WHOLE story behind the picture, you would know that just moments before she was beating Rachael upside the head and scratching her eyes out. So THIS picture is the one I choose to remember in my scrapping time! LOL.

I will be back with more reveals soon. She is keeping us busy with lots of new kits coming in the future. It is so exciting to be a part of such a fantastic team of talented ladies!

Until next time....
